An open-world game to make a better-world

Yep. Core to our game studio is to build digital worlds for people to have fun, make great music and earn rewards. However, what if timbiliki@ could share these rewards with those who need it most in the real world?

Maputo Skate: 100% target reached!! via gofundme

Our first in-game campaign was in support for  Maputo Skate, - a non-profit organisation established in Khongolote, Maputo. Maputo Skate focuses on edu-skating, which is designed to keep young people away from gang culture, drugs, alcohol and crime in Mozambique. We made this wonderful island celebrating the music and culture of Mozambique to fundraise! 100% of the money donated via gofundme went to Maputo Skate.

BECOME A PROXY DONOR

Timbi World aims to blur the boundaries between the Real and the Virtual so that we can gift our gamers with the tools to fix global problems they care about. Maputo Skate is our first example. Thanks to our 63 Proxy donors we made gamers' dreams come through. Check our gofundme Campaign

VIRTUAL to REAL EXCHANGE

We connect players with donors, creating an ecosystem which makes them feed one another. Players earn digital currency (as music) in the game which they convert into digital donations because they care about it and they know that we sent the skates to Maputo Skate. Donors supported the in-game campaign at gofundme because they wanted to act as Proxies for this creative initiative, to realise young players' dreams. They did it because we code and have a passion for music and culture that they shared and most importantly, because they  feel aligned with this cause, to keep young people away from gangs and drugs in Maputo via Maputo Skate's education and sports programme, under Good Push Alliance.

WHY TO CELEBRATE MUSIC AND CULTURE?

Mozambique alone is an African country with one of the wealthiest diversity of cultures, with over twenty ethnic groups spread around nearly 1,300 miles of coast.
We want to celebrate culture by constructing inspiring ways to communicate their values and meaning. We support authenticity, ethics and rigour in the message but also encourage the fusion of cultures to create greater diversity and forms of engagement among the younger generations. Music is such a universal language that the pathways to achieve so are naturally built. We are just facilitators for this to happen.
